Anniversary celebrations 25 years of EUROSOLAR

2013 marks the 25th year of EUROSOLAR. Members are invited to join in celebrating at the EUROSOLAR Secretariat in Bonn on August 24, 2013.

EUROSOLAR was set up in 1988 to work independently of political parties, institutions, and companies in pursuit of a vision: substituting fossil fuels and nuclear energy systems with a sustainable, peaceful and renewable energy-based supply, founded on decentralized local resources close to the citizens.


European Solar Prize29 November 2013, 18:00, Berlin branch of KfW Bankengruppe

EUROSOLAR, in collaboration with KfW Bankengruppe, recognizes important and innovative achievements in promoting widespread use of renewable energy through the annual European Solar Prize, now in its twentieth year. The Solar Prize is one of the oldest and most prestigious renewable energy awards. The award ceremony will take place on 29 November 2013 at the Berlin branch of the KfW Bankengruppe.

Due to the enormous successes of past IRES Conferences EUROSOLAR and the World Council for Renewable Energy (WCRE) has strengthened the IRES series in collaboration with EnergieAgentur.NRW and numerous other partners. Over 500 participants gathered at the 8th International Renewable Energy Storage Conference and Exhibition (IRES 2013) at the bcc Berlin Congress Center, November 18-20, 2013.

The conference series has emerged as the central platform for sharing knowledge and exchanging ideas on a key issue of future energy supply, having attracted more than 3,500 participants since its beginnings in 2006.

EUROSOLAR Turkey, the Turkish Section of the European Association for Renewable Energy, in line with the vision of the Association, has been organizing  the International 100% Renewable Energy Conference IRENEC since 2011. It aims at creating an international platform to discuss the technical, economic and political aspects of moving to 100% renewable energy and build the courses to realize this vision in industry, architecture, transportation, local communities and training.
