The British business company Solarcentury was founded with the claim to work for a cleaner world and a sustainable future. For this purpose the founder Jeremy Leggett chose a brave and proper way.

In the profiling of Solarcentury is mentioned: "Our aim is to revolutionize the global energy market". This shall be achieved by integrating solar technologies into the whole stock of buildings, leading to a positive environmental effect and, due to the development, of a prospering branch of economic activity. In many projects Solarcentury, already the largest solar-installer in England, cooperates closely with architects and engineers and advises them with know-how in solar architecture. One outstanding venture in this field is the Eden project in Cornwall with its solar flower-shaped roof. Beside commercial projects the company concentrates also on the public infrastucture. Public buildings, schools or bus-stops are adjusted on a solar energy base step by step. Furthermore the business develops individual energy efficiency concepts that all together push the great change from the carbon century to a "Solar Century". Jeremy Leggett has created a role model with his business as a sustainable company in its internal structure and its services on the market. The working process is structured with principals of recycling, responsible use of water and an ecological reasonable transport system. To its customers Solarcentury delivers the know-how for zero-emission energy supply.
