Terra Foundation"Small changes are powerful". The motto adopted by Terra Foundation indicates both the way and the means this organisation has chosen to fight against climate change. With small "plug in" photovoltaic panels its initiative "Guerrilla Solar" enables every single citizen to become an environmentally conscious energy producer.

"Guerrilla Solar" is aimed at making the citizens become aware of efficient energy use and renewable energy applications. To this end Terra Foundation is offering as much as 150 photovoltaic panels of 120 Wp each, integrated micro inverter and controlling system included. What makes them special is that the panels can directly and easily be plugged in at home. The electricity thus produced can directly be used in the house or fed into the public grid, if not needed.

The Guerrilla Solar campaign's primary aim is to encourage the citizens to efficiently use, save and produce energy, since their consistent behaviour and action can effect crucial changes to environmental and energy policies. "Guerrilla Solar" is intended to make them realize that besides being users of household appliances, which consume energy they can become producers of electricity themselves with simple photovoltaic panels. More actions are planned as part of the campaign already. The "Guerrilla Solar" initiative demonstrates that thanks to decentralized renewable energy use the boundaries between consumer and producer of electricity steadily blur.
