Bonn, 22 October 2017 – We call on Spain and the EU to immediately step back from confrontation and allow democracy to rule and respect the will of the Catalonian people. This is the true meaning and realisation of the European Union: the softening of national boundaries and the strengthening of regional cultural, ecological and economical realms.
Let's also not let a good independence movement go to waste: and make sure the Catalonian and other European movements towards cultural affinity and regional self-determination are supported and endowed with a deeper existential meaning: the turn from nuclear and fossil energy. Herein lies the real promise and deep rationale of an independent Catalona, Scottland, Lombardia or Bavaria: the ability to not only shed the antiquated notion of national states and fixed if arbitrary boundaries, but also the reconstruction of a resilient, peaceful and united Europe - a renewable Union of Regions.

Bonn, 9 October 2017 – EUROSOLAR e.V. welcomes the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to the anti-nuclear campaign ICAN and congratulates the organization for this honor. It focuses the attention on the madness of nuclear weapons.
The struggle against nuclear weapons and the struggle against the nuclear economy and its nuclear power plants are two sides of the same coin.
Wuppertal, 14.10.2017 - Im feierlichen Rahmen wurde am Samstag, den 14. Oktober, der Deutsche Solarpreis 2017 verliehen. Veranstaltungsort war in diesem Jahr die Villa Media in Wuppertal, die 2016 selbst ausgezeichnet wurde. Der von EUROSOLAR e.V. ins Leben gerufene Preis wurde in neun Kategorien verliehen. In Kooperation mit der EnergieAgentur.NRW wurden die diesjährigen Gewinnerinnen und Gewinner auf der Preisverleihung geehrt und ihr Engagement im Rahmen von Filmen, Interviews und Präsentationen dem Publikum vorgestellt.
Bonn, 9.10.2017 – Der Vorstand der deutschen Sektion von EUROSOLAR e.V. begrüßt die Verleihung des Friedensnobelpreises an die Anti-Atomwaffen-Kampagne ICAN und gratuliert ICAN zu dieser Ehrung, die erneut Aufmerksamkeit auf den Wahnsinn der Atomwaffen lenkt.
Der Kampf gegen Atomwaffen und der Kampf gegen Nuklearwirtschaft und Atomkraftwerke sind zwei Seiten der gleichen Medaille. Bei der sogenannten "friedlichen Nutzung der Kernenergie" ging es den Befürwortern der Atomkraft immer auch um die Schaffung und Erhaltung einer ebenfalls militärisch nutzbaren Nuklearwirtschaft.
